Emergency First Aid at Work
Emergency First Aid at Work Training - 1 Day
Emergency First Aid at Work is a HSE recommended, non-assessed course. This is the minimum level of first aid training for the workplace, appropriate for low-risk environments or for those acting in the absence of a fully qualified First Aider.
Course Duration: 1 Day
Course Content:
To be able to provide basic life support, delegates will receive training in a range of subjects, including:
- The role of the first aider
- The importance of preventing cross infection
- The need for recording incidents and actions
- The use of available equipment
- Scene Assessment
- Treatment of an unconscious casualty (including seizure)
- Adult CPR
- Serious Bleeding Management
- Shock Management
- Choking
- Minor injuries (including small cuts, grazes and bruises, minor burns and scalds, small splinters.)
Important Information: Please ensure all delegates are free of any condition that will prohibit them from participating fully during the practical aspects of the Emergency First Aid at Work Course.
Training Method:
This is a One Day Course (09:00 – 16:30) classroom based course, with assessments.
