Confined Space Entry & Emergency Escape Safety Awareness
(Please Note: This course does not include the use of Breathing Apparatus. If this is required, you will need to attend a two day Course – any persons attending a two day Course must be 100% fit and well, if in doubt a medical certificate stating this will be required)
Course Objectives:
This Course is aimed at any personnel involved in confined space entry on site. It will raise awareness for the dangers of working in confined spaces and safe working practices in line with the Confined Spaces Regulations. The Course will ensure that site personnel are aware of their duties of care to themselves and others on site.
Course Duration:
This is a half day Course.

- Introduction and Course Objectives
- Definition of Confined Spaces
- Specific requirements of the Confined Spaces Regulations
- Types of Atmosphere / Atmosphere Testing
- Safe Systems of Work
- Risk Assessment
- Client Permit to Work and Risk Assessment requirements
- Selection of Equipment (for risk)
- Limitation and Duration times
- Equipment checks
- Use of Tripod, Winch and Harness
- Written Test Paper
Venue Requirements:
- A Training Room suitable for the number of delegates to be seated
- A large opening through a floor (this is for the purpose of using a tripod and harness; if not available please advise; the course will still include the information but no practical will be completed).
- A TV & Video
- If any of the above are not available then courses can be held at our premises in Little Bentley.
