The aim of this course is to teach the life saving procedures in First Aid, including how to handle emergencies.

Emergency First Aid at Work is a HSE recommended course. This is the minimum level of first aid training for the workplace, appropriate for low-risk environments or for those acting in the absence of a fully qualified First Aider.

The EFAW course is ideal for lower risk businesses/establishments.

Course Content:

To be able to provide basic life support, delegates will receive training in a range of subjects, including:
-       The role of the first aider
o   The importance of preventing cross infection
o   The need for recording incidents and actions
o   The use of available equipment
-       Scene Assessment
-       Treatment of an unconscious casualty (including seizure)
-       Adult CPR
-       Serious Bleeding Management
-       Shock Management
-       Choking
-       Minor injuries (including small cuts, grazes and bruises, minor burns and scalds, small splinters.)
