Manual Handling Training
 
Introduction:
The Manual Handling Operations Regulations 1992 require a more formal approach to the subject of manual handling operations. Since the subject not only covers lifting but handling, pulling, pushing or moving by bodily force, the range is considerable and affects anyone in any organisation.
 
 
Course Objectives:
On completion of this course the trainee will be able to state the requirements of the manual handling regulations, be able to interpret the numerical guidelines, understand the parts of the body most at risk from incorrect manual handling, state the potential hazards from incorrect manual handling and explain the key requirements for correct kinetic handling technique.
 
Who the course is aimed at:
Managers, supervisors and those whose work involves manual handling, lifting of packages and objects, no matter what their occupation.

This is a Half Day classroom based course and includes practical sessions with assessments
