Fire Safety Co-ordinator 

One Day Training Course                                                                                            

 

Introduction:

 

The Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2007 and The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, or the Fire (Scotland) Act 2005 or the Fire Safety Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2020 requires management to ensure that competent persons carry out regular fire risk assessments, responds to deviations discovered and keeps records of the fire risk assessments.

This course has been designed for health and safety professionals nominated as fire safety co-ordinators on construction sites or in offices. 

Course Objectives:

On completion of the course you will be better able to:

  • Assess the suitability of means of escape routes

  • Assess the suitability of present warning and portable fire fighting provision

  • Assess the suitability of access arrangements for fire fighting purposes

  • Understand the Fire Safety provision measures required to ensure implementation of good fire safety practice in construction or offices

     

    Who the course is aimed at:

    Fire co-ordinators, CDM co-ordinators, principal contractors, designers and site managers.
