About Us

Safetymen are Health and Safety Trainers & Consultants and HR Advisors based in Thorpe le Soken, Essex.

Safetymen was formed in February 2002 by Graham Healey GradIOSH MIIRSM BOHS Adv.CISRS.

We are members of various associations including IPAF (International Powered Access Federation), PASMA (Prefabricated Access Suppliers and Manufacturers Association), IOSH (Institution of Occupational Safety and Health), CITB CSkills, IATP (Independent Asbestos Training Providers), IIRSM (International Institute of Risk and Safety Management) and CIPD. As a result of being members of these associations, we can provide Health and Safety Training, Health and Safety Consultancy and HR Advice to nationally recognised standards.

Our Head office and Health and Safety Training Centre is located at Thorpe le Soken, Essex. We also carry out training at customers premises.

Since Safetymen was formed, the range of Health and Safety Courses offered has increased with the demand for Health and Safety Training. We currently provide 49 Health, Safety and Environmental Courses, which is constantly increasing. We can also provide bespoke Health and Safety Courses, please contact us with your requirements.

All Health and Safety Training Courses can be held either at our Training Centre in Thorpe le Soken, Essex or On-Site (On-Site terms & conditions apply).

Safetymen Health and Safety Consultants and Trainers are all trained to nationally recognised standards. Our M.D. Graham Healey is now considered to be one of the most qualified Health and Safety Trainers in the U.K at present. Whether you require a Health and Safety Policy, Risk Assessments or Health and Safety Site Inspections, we can help.

Safetymen HR Advice - All Safetymen HR Advisors have a Level 7 Diploma in Human Resource Management. We can help you with any HR Service from Contracts of Employment to Staff Disciplinaries.  

Due to growing demand, and the enforcement of the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012, we are now offering Asbestos Surveys as part of our services. Asbestos only ceased to be used in the UK in 1999, so if you occupy a premise that was built before this time, the chances are that Asbestos may be present in your premises. Asbestos Surveys are regarded as a legal requirement to enable a commercial business to comply with the “Duty to Manage” Asbestos on any non-domestic property, as required under Regulation 4 of the CAWR 2012. All Surveys are carried out by our Consultants who are qualified to P402, from the British Occupational Hygiene Society (BOHS), and we undertake our surveys in accordance with the Asbestos: The Survey Guide, formally the MDHS100 Document issued by the HSE.

We also offer Face Fit Testing either at our training centre in Essex, or on-site at your premsies.
