Learning how to provide Basic Life Support (BLS) could help you to save a life. BLS is a requirement for many professions including nursing, care workers, medical and dental professionals.

This BLS course is designed to teach you how to deal with immediately life threatening situations, such as sudden cardiac arrest, choking and unconscious patients. The course includes child and infant skills to ensure a more complete understanding, making the course ideal also for parents, grandparents and families.

Medical professionals with a duty to respond in an emergency require additional training.

Course Content:

  • The role of the first aider
  • The importance of preventing cross infection
  • The need for recording incidents and actions
  • The use of available equipment
  • Scene Assessment
  • Treatment of an unconscious casualty (including seizure)
  • Adult CPR

Important Information: Please ensure all delegates are free of any condition that will prohibit them from participating fully during the practical aspects of the First Aid at Work Course.
