Course Objectives:
The Crane Slinger and Signaller Course (often referred to as Rigger Banksman), will give you the skills needed to be safe and efficient in the Slinger/Signaller Role.

The Crane Slinger and Signaller Course (often referred to as Rigger Banksman), will give you the skills needed to be safe and efficient in the Slinger/Signaller Role.
Course Content:
- HSE legislation & key requirements for marshalling of plant etc
- Safely attaching a load to a crane
- Weight assessment
- Lifting and moving loads
- Awareness of site operations, pedestrians, hazards and weather conditions
- Completion of pre-use inspection
- Identifying correct equipment for operation
- Recognise defects and hazards that affect crane motions
- Demonstrate an understanding of lift plans
- Correct slinging techniques
The Crane Slinger Signaller course is carried out on customers' premises. Equipment used needs to have an in-date thorough examination (LOLER) Certificate.
Training Method:
Classroom theory and written examination followed by practical assessment.
Duration is subject to delegates experience. Maximum of four delegates. Please contact for further information.
Certification:
On successful completion of the course delegates will receive a Safetymen Competence Certificate valid for 3 years.
