Asbestos Non-Licensed Works Training
Details
Workers who disturb asbestos-containing materials (ACMs) must receive appropriate training under the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012, ensuring safe handling and compliance with UK health and safety laws. This Non-Licensed Asbestos Works Training Course is designed for professionals conducting low-risk asbestos work, including maintenance, refurbishment, and minor removal tasks.
Who is the course aimed at?
Anyone who may come into contact with asbestos in the course of their work duties and/or those responsible for such people.
Course Objectives
Participants will gain essential knowledge on asbestos risk assessment, safe working practices, waste disposal, and emergency procedures, following HSE guidance (HSG210 – Asbestos Essentials). The course covers notifiable and non-notifiable non-licensed work, equipping workers with the skills to manage asbestos safely while adhering to legal requirements.

Prerequisites
The following list of prerequisites are required to take this course:
- 16 years or older
- able to physically undertake pracitcal tasks
- free from the effects of drugs and alcohol
- fluent in spoken and written English
- Delegates must have successfully completed an Asbestos Awareness Course, prior to attending this course, which is a mandatory pre-requisite

- Valid Photo ID - For example Passport or Driving License
- Clean comfortable clothing, suitable for classroom
- Lunch, if attending a full day at our Training Centre (although there are many local eateries nearby) - tea and coffee are provided
