Paediatric First Aid (Blended)

Details

This is a blended course - the first section is completed online at the learners leisure, before attending the classroom for the second day of practical assessments.

Paediatric first aid is a vital skill for anyone working with children, ensuring prompt and effective response to medical emergencies. In the UK, the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 and the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) statutory framework set out requirements for paediatric first aid training in childcare settings.

Who is the course aimed at?

Ideal for nursery staff, teachers, childminders, and parents, this training equips individuals with the expertise needed to respond effectively to paediatric emergencies, ensuring the safety and well-being of children in their care.

Course Objectives

This Paediatric First Aid Training Course provides essential knowledge on CPR, choking response, wound management, allergic reactions, and emergency procedures, following HSE and EYFS guidelines. Participants will learn how to assess incidents, administer life-saving techniques, and ensure compliance with UK childcare safety standards.

We offer this as a blended course, meaning the first day of theory is completed online at the learners leisure, before attending the classroom for the second day of practical assessments.
