Operating pivot steer forklifts (Category P1), including Bendi and Flexi models, requires proper training to ensure safety and legal compliance. The Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations (PUWER) 1998, Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations (LOLER) 1998, and Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 mandate that employers provide adequate instruction to minimize risks and prevent accidents when using forklift trucks.

Prerequisites

The following list of prerequisites are required to take this course:

  • 16 years or older
  • able to physically undertake practical tasks
  • free from the effects of drugs and alcohol
  • fluent in spoken and written English

  • Valid Photo ID - For example Passport or Driving License
  • Clean comfortable clothing, suitable for classroom
  • Lunch - if attending our Training Centre (although there are many local eateries nearby) - tea and coffee are provided
  • PPE (Hi-Vis, Gloves, Hard Hat, Safety Shoes, Cold/Wet weather clothing)
